Members restate confidence as Baraza resumes reconciliation process


Members of Baraza Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited converged at Tamara Hall in Yenizue-gene, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on Friday for the continuation of the organization's reconciliation and mediation process.

The Chief Executive Officer of the cooperative, Pastor Miebi Bribena, during an interview, explained that more than one thousand members have already taken part in the process since last year.

According to him, the process will continue from Friday, 17th May 2024, and shall be held once every two weeks.

He warned members of the cooperative to be wary of fraudsters who use his name or that of the cooperative to collect money, stressing that no member is expected to pay any money before payment is made.

Speaking with our reporter at the venue, a member of the cooperative, Mrs. Tina Ayogoi, while commending the idea behind the establishment of the organization, faulted the actions of former staff.

She stressed that the present challenges could have been avoided if not for the fact that the organization was defrauded by trusted staff members.

Mrs. Tina, who restated her belief in the cooperative's CEO to put things in order, enjoined other members not to lose hope in the reconciliation process.

Another member, Darlington Ebiwari, who expressed delight in the reconciliation exercise, urged the organization to "look for more innovative ways to resolve the challenges."
